Refuge helps mobilize and train church members who want to live among high density refugee populations.
Refuge seeks to empower church members who want to live among high density refugee populations. We believe that as lives are shared, deep relationships will develop that have the capacity to fully express the love of Christ.
Church Community Adoption
Our hope is that churches will establish long-term initiatives and strategies around embracing the refugees in our city, and that some churches would be called to adopt a community as a whole. This will enable long-term sustainable ministry in a given community. Refuge will come alongside these churches to offer training and other help as needed.
International Immersion Internship (I3)
We mobilize church members who are interested in moving into one of the communities
where Refuge works. We then partner with the church to provide additional
oversight and training in the following areas:
Deep, gospel-focused engagement with refugees and internationals
Practical training for life and ministry in a cross-cultural context
Daily devotion to Christ by creating time, space, and skills to abide
Ministry and community within a team context
