Refuge empowers local churches to journey alongside refugee families while they continue to settle into our city.


The needs of refugees extend to many areas during and beyond their initial months of resettlement. Our aim is for churches to journey alongside them in these varied areas. This will allow them to model neighborly love as they empower refugees toward greater independence and cultural acclimation.


We believe that God moves people to use their unique gifts to help others. We work in collaboration with local churches and the refugee community to know what needs are most pressing and where each particular church (and the individuals within them) can help meet those needs. These are the following services provided, though we always open to establishing new ones:
English Classes

Teachers and Helpers needed to teach English as a second language.

English Conversation Practice

Help refugees learning English by spending time in conversation and sharing stories.

Citizenship Test Prep Courses

These classes aim to help refugees prepare to take the U.S. citizenship test.

Computer Classes

Prepare resume’s, learn computer basics, and much more.

Kid’s Clubs

Work weekly with kids to share Bible stories, games, and crafts.

Artisans Training

Help Nepali women make and sell jewelry, clothes, and other things to provide income for their families.

Art Therapy

Encourage adults and children through their experiences of trauma and transition through intentional art projects.

Job Search Assistance

Help refugees with the difficult task of finding and maintaining a job.

Creating Economies

Use your skills to develop refugees vocationally, such as starting a restaurant or learning to code.

Youth Mentoring

In partnership with Youth for Christ, adult mentors and leaders are needed to invest in discipleship relationships.

Family Mentoring & Adoption

In Home Tutoring, Enter the home of a refugee family to assist with homework, ESL, citizenship, culture, etc.
